NOTICE - is a key issue in every legal procedure. Notice is required for due process. If you have no notice you have no information to act in one way or another.
The code officer must give you certain notice.
The city must give you certain notice.
The hearing officer must give you notice.
The court must give you notice.
At the end of every court hearing the judge will ask do you wish to waive notice. Never waive notice. You don't waive notice because every notice is the key document that triggers time issues. Such as time to appeal. Or time to reply. It seems nice to waive notice but waiving notice can contribute to a timing issue. Forcing notice will secure that issue as you will have your notice you were served that sets the time and date.
